Giant Wheel
About Giant Wheel No amusement park would be complete without a Ferris wheel! So grab three of your friends or family members and get ready for a 136 feet-tall ride on one of America's tallest Ferris wheels!
This giant Ferris Wheel was manufactured by Anton Schwarzkopf, and originally opened at the Point in 1972 behind the Celebration Plaza Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad station. In 2000, the ride was moved near to the scenic Lake Erie beach to make room for Millennium Force, and has sat there ever since. In 2012, the Giant Wheel was equipped with a new LED lighting system, giving it a futuristic and sleek look at night. Again, Giant Wheel sits in front of Wicked Twister on the Lake Erie shoreline, next Disaster Transport. Details on Giant WheelOpened: 1972
