Cedar Creek Mine Ride opened in 1969, with steel tubular track and wooden supports, technically making it a hybrid roller coaster, which is the only hybrid roller coaster at Cedar Point besides Gemini. Built by Arrow Dynamics, and designed by the great Ron Toomer, Cedar Creek Mine Ride is one of two roller coasters at Cedar Point that utilize two seperate chain lift hills (the other being Iron Dragon.) Although it was designed to operate on many more, as of 2011, Cedar Creek Mine Ride has been running on only two trains.
