About Us
Blogging Nickster
I am Blogging Nickster, the only webmaster and blogger here at Point Place, and I am also one of the few Cedar Point bloggers around.
I originally opened my own Cedar Point blog in September 2010 when Cedar Point's official OnPoint! blog was initially discontinued after the resignation of Tony Clark, but then was jump started by his replacement, Rebecca Baker. Still, I decided to keep the blog going, with great results. After about a year and a half of hosting the blog on Blogger, I decided in February 2012 to transfer the blog to Weebly for better hosting services. After that transfer, the blog became a website, and was renamed Point Place.
And moving on to me. I'm a teenager who obviously loves Cedar Point, although I didn't always used to love roller coasters. When I was just five years old, my dad thought it would be a wise idea to take me on Gemini, but I definitely wasn't ready for it. After that seemingly awful experience, I steered clear from roller coasters for almost eight years, and stuck primarily to flat and spinning rides. In the midst of middle school, I was convinced by my friend, Critica, who also introduced me Blogger, to ride Iron Dragon. Sure, it scared the crap out of me, but that suddenly was an awesome feeling. I wanted more: soon Gemini, Magnum XL-200, and Maverick were right up my alley, and so on and so forth. So, that is how I became the Cedar Point-loving person that I am today.
Besides Cedar Point, I also have what could be considered an obsession with Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey. I also like spending time with friends, dancing and singing in my school's choir and show choir, taking care of my dog, and writing for my school's newspaper.
