WindSeeker
About WindSeeker WindSeeker takes a new height to a traditional circle swing.
WindSeeker consists of 301 foot tall tower, which is surround by a ring of 32 swings that spin around the main tower and crawl up and down the tower. The ride was a prototype ride that was manufactured by Mondial, which installed the same prototype ride in three other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company parks besides Cedar Point. King's Island, Canada's Wonderland, Knott's Berry Farm, and Cedar Point all recieved WindSeeker type rides in 2011. King's Dominion and Carowinds will also recieve them in 2012. Each WindSeeker cost $5,000,000. Cedar Point's WindSeeker was the second to debut, with Canada's Wonderland's ride being opened first. However, problems plagued the ride, and it went back down for over a month. While Canda's Wonderland's WindSeeker was down, Cedar Point's WindSeeker debuted in a last-minute surprise. King's Island's version of WindSeeker was the next to open, followed by Knott's Berry Farm's. WindSeeker was placed on the same location as Cedar Point's former circle swing stood in the early 1900's. WindSeeker is situated on the sandy Lake Erie beach near the Extreme Sports Stadium and Wicked Twister. Ocean Motion once stood in this location before it was moved to its current location near the front gates. Details on WindSeekerOpened: 2011
