Gemini
About Gemini Race side to side back to the station on a classic Cedar Point coaster, Gemini.
Opened in 1978 at a cost of $3,400,000, Gemini stands at a height of 125 feet and has a drop of 118 feet. Gemini is another Ron Toomer-created beauty that was manufactured by the now-defunct Arrow Dynamics. The entire ride's length is 3,935 feet. Gemini is one of two hybrid roller coasters at Cedar Point, the other being Cedar Creek Mine Ride, which was also designed by Ron Toomer and manufactured by Arrow Dynamics. Being a hybrid coaster, Gemini has a wood frame and supports that support a steel track. The roller coaster is also unique in the sense that it is a racing roller coaster where two trains race parallel to each other on their own track. Gemini is known to have one of the best rider capacities in the park because of the double amount of trains. When it debuted, Gemini held the record for tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, along with the steepest drop on a roller coaster hill. Gemini is located in between Magnum XL-200 and Frontiertown, near Camp Snoopy. Details on GeminiOpened: 1976
